There seems to be a misconception about this, i’ve read in a couple forums were young teens are asking for advice from other users on whether or not they have a chance at becoming a pro. Some people are just ruthless and basically tearing them to shreds when all they were looking for was a little encouragement. My answer to that question is yes you can become a professional player. If you work hard and it’s really something you want to do you can go far. There are many pro players who started out in the satellites and worked their way up to the big tournaments. Satellite tournaments are basically lower level tournaments where pro’s play to get a feel for the professional environment and get some matches in . It also helps them get their ranking up so they can get a better chance of getting wild cards into tournaments instead of having to play the qualifiers.
